Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — 160 hectares. A globally exceptional, eco-conscious botanical garden in the arid desert of central Saudi Arabia, with paleobotanical biomes and a garden exploring future climate scenarios.
The paleobotanical gardens are housed in two interlocking, crescent-shaped biomes that trace the site’s historical progression through a sequence of gardens from the Devonian to the Pliocene, while the Garden of Choices explores possible future scenarios based on the trajectory of climate change.
A central garden and wadi walk connect the experience, supported by a family garden and separate pedestrian, service and VIP circulation, with the gardens designed to offer both educational value and enjoyable experiences.
